Society, Men and Women from the Gender Perspective
Contact Person: Zdenka Almerová, zdenka.almerova@osf.cz
The Program's current priority is to encourage more political participation of women, gender-sensitive education at all levels, encourage more involvement of women in political life and more involvement of men in private life, and other related issues.
The Foundation gives preference to long-term projects seeking to achieve major systemic change.
The Foundation can also co-operate with a partner organization to seek ways to achieve social change in the area in question.
Today as in the past, the Foundation strongly promotes the professionalization of the gender-oriented non-profit sector in the Czech Republic; to support such initiatives, the Foundation can grant foundation contributions.
The OSF Prague is currently:
- financially assisting non-profit organizations engaged in the positions of women and men in society, improving their cohesion,
- promoting initiatives towards improved public debate on the unequal conditions for women and men in the labour market, and resulting inequalities in responsibility-sharing in homes, and gender stereotypes,
- financially assisting organizations seeking to achieve change and implement new methods towards equal conditions for women and men in employment,
- promoting organizations and initiatives engaged in womens' involvement in the public and political life,
- promoting initiatives engaged in womens' equal opportunities in drawing funds from public resources,
- financially assisting initiatives engaged in introducing the concept of gender into education at all levels.

- Forum 50%
