Stepping Back from the End of History: Post-Socialist States and Societies at the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall

With the support of OSF Prague, DEMAS, the association of Czech non-governmental organizations working to foster democratization and to support civil society and human rights around the world, and the Moscow Center of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace organized a seminar, which reviewed the 20 years of history in the post-socialist space since the fall of the Berlin Wall from the perspective of state-society relations.

Study visit of Georgian journalists and newly elected politicians from Gurie and Kvemo Kartli Regions in the Czech Republic

Agora CE conducted a study tour of four Georgian journalists and four newly elected politicians to the Czech Republic. The aims were: to show daily work of Czech media to the journalists, to discuss cooperation between media and politicians, to share experience with organizing public debates and to share experience of local policing. The study tour took place in October 2010.

Joint Community Efforts for Youth Employment

CMC Graduate School of Business, supported by OSF, implemented a project, which main objective was to improve vocational guidance services, professional training, employment and employability offered to young people in the Czech Republic, Romania and Moldova.

Investigating Environmental Degradation: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia and Kosovo

Transitions received support from the East East: Partnership Beyond Borders Program to conduct a training project for journalists in Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Kosovo in covering issues related to the environment.

Priorities of Polish EU Presidency: Czech Perspective

Within the East East: Partnership Beyond Borders program, the OSF Prague supported a project of Association for International Affairs (aimed at enhancing the Czech-Polish cooperation in their European policies with the emphasis on the Polish Presidency.

Improving Media Objectivity and Coverage of Issues Involving Social Tolerance: Media Workshop on Racism and Far Right Movements

OSF supported Czech organization In IUSTITIA, which conducted a media workshop on racism and far right movements, targeted at the journalists in order to improve media objectivity. The workshop was attended by journalists from Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

TRIGON Association, supported by OSF, implemented a project focused on exchanging experience between professionals in the field of care and integration of people with disabilities.

Building Public-Private Partnership to Ensure Sustainable Community Development, Stage I

OSF Prague supported the CzechINVENT agency in order to share the Czech experience in the public-private partnership with its partners in Moldova. The project received the support from the East East: Partnership Beyond Borders program.

Border Dialogues: Promoting Cross-Border Cooperation in a Wider Europe, Stage I

OSF supported Institute for Stability and Development in organizing the first annual forum on cross-border cooperation in the framework of EU Neighborhood policy, which brought together NGO´s, practitioners, policy makers and researchers working at local, regional and European levels.

Exchange of experience and good practices in collecting ethnical data as a tool to realize effective anti-discrimination policies in education

Czech League of Human Rights, supported by OSF Prague, organized a seminar on good practices in ethnic data collection. The seminar was attended by representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Hungary, Montenegro, Macedonia, Germany and the Czech Republic.
